Manhood Ain’t Measured By Silence
Built Different — But Not Broken: Post 6 Friday, June 20, 2025
📊 REAL STATS. REAL RISKS.
Black men are the least likely demographic to receive talk therapy.
Over 80% of men report being taught “real men don’t cry.”
Men from faith-based households are more likely to mistake suppression for spiritual strength.

We’ve been sold the lie that silence is strength.
But silence isn’t always strength — sometimes, it’s survival.
We stay quiet because:
We were taught to
We didn’t feel safe
We didn’t have language
Or we didn’t believe anyone would care
But silence has a cost:
It weighs on the body. It clutters the mind. It hardens the spirit.
And worst of all — it teaches our sons to keep their mouths shut and suffer in silence.
✊🏾 Let’s Redefine What Strong Looks Like
Strong is:
Owning your emotions without being owned by them
Speaking what’s true before you break
Sitting in stillness instead of hiding in silence
Reaching out without shame
This is what Self-Awareness Intelligence™ was built for.
You don’t just manage triggers —
You master presence under pressure.
🧠 Remember...
“Manhood isn’t measured by how quiet you are.
It’s measured by how present you can be — with yourself and the people who need you.”
🛠️ Weekend Check-In:
✅ Text 2 men you love and respect
✅ Ask them:
“How are you feeling?”
“What’s heavy right now?”
✅ Let them know: “You don’t have to carry it alone.”
Prayer:
“God, I release the belief that silence makes me stronger.
Teach me how to feel without fear, speak without shame, and show up with full presence.
Surround me with men who are doing the same.
Amen.”
